The AI-powered program creation tool integrated into B12 Studio guides you step-by-step to design a personalized reinforcement content based on your own resources.
This creation is done in a few simple steps:
Import your files (your training content).
Configure your parameters for question generation (knowledge topics, number of questions, difficulty level, question type, target audience).
Questions are generated, review and adjust them as needed.
Generate the program structure and let B12 automatically schedule the reinforcement calendar.
In just a few minutes, you get a complete program ready to be deployed.
Here is a step-by-step guide to help you prepare your deployment.
Program Creation
The program creation largely follows the same steps as for a regular program.
Steps 1 to 3: Identify the program language(s), name, and type. For more information on these steps, also see Create and Configure a Program
Step 4: Select From an AI (see image above).
Step 5 of 8:
Import your source files (maximum 15 MB each).
Currently, only PDF format is accepted.
Note that for your PowerPoints, it is possible to include notes in the PDF in the "Notes Pages" format (see Options > Items to Publish). You can add multiple files by clicking again in the upload area.
Step 6 of 8: Who is the target audience and what do you want to achieve with this program?
These two questions will help contextualize the program for your learners and reinforcement objectives.
The target audience description will be used, among other things, to build question scenarios based on the types of situations your learners will face.
Step 8 of 8: Program configuration.
- Add an image, and adjust default settings as needed. For more information see Create and Configure a Program
- For the description: You can generate it with AI by clicking the star icon in the upper right corner. You can always adjust the suggested text before saving.
What Will Your Program Cover?
Identification of Knowledge Topics
Knowledge topics are at the core of your program: they determine what the questions will be about. The better defined your topics, the more relevant your reinforcement activities will be.
The AI automatically identifies the main topics of your content.
Uncheck those that are not relevant.
Manually add missing topics if necessary.
👉 To deepen this concept, see the article Knowledge Topics
Configuration Settings
At this stage, you determine the instructions to follow for the question bank.
- Number of activities: this number may vary depending on the number of knowledge topics, program duration, content difficulty, etc.
- Difficulty level: select the difficulty levels for question creation. We recommend generating questions at all three levels.
-
Question type: we recommend keeping both question types.
- "Knowledge" type questions will be presented as is, without specifying a work context or decision-making situation.
- Example: What color is the supervisor's lock?
- "Scenario" type questions present a realistic decision-making scenario based on the target audience and described objectives.
- Example: Mario is a supervisor and must place his lock, which color lock should he use?
- "Knowledge" type questions will be presented as is, without specifying a work context or decision-making situation.
Question Generation and Selection
The AI proposes a number of questions based on your settings.
At first, only the question and the correct answer are displayed.
This allows you to do an initial sorting and review carefully.
Uncheck questions to discard (you can generate more later).
💡 B12 Tip: sort questions by knowledge topic or by difficulty level.
Question Bank Generation and Review
Once validated, you access the Studio's Activity tab, where all generated questions are displayed, including:
Answer choices (correct and incorrect).
Associated feedback.
Question Review
Unopened questions are marked by a colored dot in the Type column.
Freely modify answers and feedback (you can use AI to generate other options)
Write or generate additional questions if needed.
When your question bank is ready, go to the Structure tab to generate the program.
🔎 Why Review is EssentialThe quality of the program strongly depends on the relevance of the generated questions. Take the time to carefully review each question and involve your subject matter experts to validate the content. In particular, pay close attention to the incorrect answers (distractors). The AI generates them by “reading between the lines” of your content, but it is essential to verify that:
👉 This validation step ensures the program’s reliability and maximizes its impact for your learners. |
Structure and Schedule the Program
When all questions are ready, click Generate Program to schedule activities into sequences and place these sequences in the calendar.
Here are the elements to configure:
Program duration
Topic availability: define the release date (useful when a topic is only addressed later after the program start).
-
Question repetition (by default):
Easy: 1 time
Medium: 2 times
Hard: 3 times
Spacing: progressive or at regular intervals.
Progressive spacing is recommended because scientific evidence shows that the spacing effect benefits memory retention. For more information, see here: https://apprentx.rocks/fr/leffet-despacement-loubli-nest-pas-lennemi-de-lapprentissage
However, regular spacing might be more appropriate for your organizational context and program objectives. In that case, use the "at regular intervals" option and adjust frequencies as needed. All generated sequences can then be moved in the calendar, regardless of the mode chosen.
Later, it is possible to make adjustments to this schedule:
Modify the content of created sequences
Change the position of sequences in the calendar.
Add additional sequences
However, it will not be possible to redo the scheduling using the automatic tool once it has been used once. To generate the program, the program must contain no sequences. You can always delete all sequences; activities will not be deleted and will remain available in the Activity tab.
