B12 is offered as a Teams app available on the Microsoft Teams Store. This app works on both mobile devices and computers. Our blog article explains its benefits in more detail. In general, the B12 Teams app offers three additional features: direct access to B12 via a tab, seamless SSO, and bot notifications.
Tab
The B12 interface is accessible directly within Teams and can be pinned to the left navigation bar. There is no need to leave Teams to continue your B12 training!
SSO
Installing the B12 Teams app provides automatic SSO for the current user. This SSO is possible thanks to a token issued directly by Teams and intended for the app. No configuration is required except for user or administrator consent. The Microsoft documentation explains its SSO mechanism in detail.
Note that only users with a B12 account can benefit from the SSO login and that no user provisioning is performed by the SSO.
Bot notifications
A learner can choose to receive their training notifications via the B12 Teams bot instead of emails or texts. To do this, they must ensure that Teams notifications are enabled in their B12 profile.
The "Access" button on the notification takes the learner directly to their activity within Teams.
