Sharing Files Using B12's Library

Learners have access to a Library in B12, where files can be deposited for fast, user-friendly access.

In fact, files can be added to all the activities in your B12 sequences. Learners can preview or download the proposed files, if they wish.

The B12 Library is particularly useful for :

• Allowing learners to easily find a document already shared, without having to search for it in their completed sequences (one-click access).
• Offering complementary resources to a program (e.g. guides, references, tools).

Accepted file types include :

• PDF
• Word
• Excel
• Videos
• Podcasts (audio files)
• Web links

Guidelines for Using the B12 Library

No Automatic Sync

• Documents added in learning activities are not automatically available in the Library. If you want to make them accessible there, you must upload them manually.

File Naming

• The document title is the file name. It is not possible to rename a file within B12.

Organizing Files

You can create folders and subfolders to organize your documents as needed.

Access Management

• Folder access is controlled by Group, not by Program. This allows you to customize shared resources for each group.

• ⚠️ Subfolders do not automatically inherit access from their parent folder. You must manually assign access to each subfolder for each relevant group.

• To manage access: click the three dots at the end of the folder row, then select the group(s) that should have access.

Public Folders

• Folders marked as public are accessible to all users on your platform.

Sharing Links

• It is not possible to share a direct link to a document, as generated links are temporary (for cybersecurity reasons).

• However, you can share the link to a folder or subfolder. Simply copy the URL from your browser while you're inside the desired folder and share it with learners.

Supported File Types
